Here’s what Hannah had to say about their wedding day.  I can’t change a thing because it is just so perfect.

“Being an interfaith couple was an interesting challenge for us, but it ended up making our wedding completely unique and special. We got married under a quilt that Hannah’s mother made while she was pregnant with her and our families spoke the seven blessings that are a traditional part of David’s Jewish heritage. During the ceremony, we had a long stretch of silence in the Quaker tradition of Meeting for Worship. One of our favorite parts of the day was sitting there under the quilt, listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, looking out over the autumnal beauty surrounding us. It was so wonderful to be at peace for a few moments on such a hectic day.

“As we spent long nights planning the wedding, we had only hoped that the day would go generally smoothly and that everyone would be happy. What we could not have foreseen was just how amazing it turned out to be. It was as though all our planning, our little details, our hard work, suddenly coalesced into the quintessential autumn party. Quiet cocktails in the barn. Lawn games as the sun started to make long shadows in the field. Twinkling lights in the tent and dancing and delicious cake and so much laughter. We were so happy to be able to share this perfect day with all our friends and families.”

I will add that the silence during the ceremony was lovely, special and really moving and she is absolutely right about hearing the birds chirping and the wind in the trees. Hannah and David also asked for an unplugged ceremony. No cell phones or iPads. Just them.

Full Moon Farm was the perfect setting. To find a place that has a beautiful house with great light to get ready in, a gorgeous barn with a bright red door, wide open fields, and wonderful views is so rare and so special.

The flowers were all provided by Plenty of Posies in Ithaca.  Plenty of Posies made all the bouquets and adorable boutonnieres, and the bride and her friends did all the table arrangements.  Pretty darn impressive.

The bride did all the table design including these cute little felted acorns that came all the way from Lithuania.  She also did the design in the barn where the cocktail hour was held.
The bride also did all the calligraphy and painting on the invitations and the ketubah! Super woman.
