An upstate Escape
Settled in the 1770's by Jebediah Hall, Medusa, NY was originally called Hall's Mills. When the postal system arrived in the 1820's, another name had to be chosen because there was already another Hall's Mills. A townsman suggested naming the town after the lady from the Gorgon myth. And it was on trend with naming upstate towns after Roman ruins. We've been Medusa, NY ever since. Come visit us for an upstate Catskills holiday weekend away. A stone's throw from Hudson, NY the Hudson Valley, Ski Windham and Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. We also offer our barn for rustic weekend weddings up to 100 guests from May to October.
