A little history:

Settled c 1770 by Jebediah Hall, Medusa, NY was originally Hall's Mills, after those settlers. The USPS arrived in 1820. So, Medusa was renamed on trend with naming after ancient myths and ruins.  Furthermore, it is one of the five hamlets of the charming Town of Rensselaerville. You can explore them all!

There is tons to eat, do and see. We are close to some of the best hiking, skiing and scenic drives in the country. Near to Hudson, NY in the Hudson Valley, Windham, Mountain Ski, Route 32 Drive In, Woodhouse Wood Fired Pizza, The Carey Institute, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival and trails like Vroman’s Nose. And so much more.
